37 guitar strings; 18 strung left opposed by 19 right equalises the immense stress of the tensioned strings. Western red cedar face with minimal bracing and Australian Tasmanian Oak sides result in an extremely responsive sound box.
Various plucking attachments to the keyboard result in a wide range of sound colours / qualities. (felt, cotton bud, leather and guitar type plectrums).
The sound box can make a wide range of sound effects by striking / scraping etc.
Other timbers used include Australian coachwood / mahogany / stringybark / bluegum / norfolk island pine. In this version there is no sustain pedal.
This results in a unique overall quality for each piece performed. |
